New Consultants Development

Enhance your confidence in leading Quality Improvement

Understanding and leading quality improvement (QI) is an important part of your role as a consultant. This one-day workshop from the Royal College of Physicians is designed to support you in applying QI methodology in practice and guiding trainees through their own quality improvement projects. Whether you're new to QI or looking to build confidence in leading improvement work, this CPD-accredited session offers a practical and structured approach to quality improvement for consultants across all specialties.

The course will include QI techniques and/methodology, and enable consultants to  involve and support resident doctors in QI projects

"I feel much more equipped to lead and encourage Involvement in QI of resident doctors now." - Helen Killen, Consultant Clinical Oncologist

  • describe the essential knowledge and skills for quality improvement, and how to apply theory to practice

  • identify key models and tools for improvement in the NHS
