Flexible professional development solutions for your organisation
The RCP offers a wide range of high-quality professional development programmes for doctors of all grades and specialties, as well as the wider multi-professional healthcare workforce. With extensive experience delivering education programmes across the UK and internationally, we provide flexible solutions that enable organisations to invest in workforce development in a way that best meets their needs.
Whether you are commissioning a tailored programme for your organisation or purchasing places across our wider education portfolio, we will work with you to deliver impactful learning experiences that meet your goals and budget.
Our educational programmes are delivered by expert faculty with extensive experience and recognised subject matter expertise. We can provide established, off-the-shelf courses or work with you to tailor learning solutions for specific audiences and organisational objectives. Options range from 1-day workshops and multi-day CPD-accredited programmes to RCP accreditations and in-depth leadership development programmes.
For organisations seeking greater flexibility, places can be bulk- purchased across our portfolio of more than 30 courses, with over 80 dates available throughout the year. Learners can self-book onto courses when and where it suits them, reducing administrative burden and giving individuals greater control over their development.
Commissioning programmes: Topics
The RCP has a broad portfolio of topics we can deliver on a commissioned basis. Programmes can be combined, tailored to specific audiences (for example, for residents, for SAS doctors, for multi-professional teams), and delivered in-person at your workplace, at the RCP sites in London or Liverpool, or in a virtual classroom.
Educational and clinical supervisors have a pivotal role in the development and progression of doctors, and we offer comprehensive training for both of these roles. Our educational supervisor training meets the GMC standards and gives formal recognition to those with an explicit supervision role. Clinical supervision is broader, and suitable for all grades of doctor who have a role in workplace-based assessment, providing feedback and/or development opportunities to others.
Mentoring can have a positive impact on both a personal and an organisational level. We can help your NHS trust establish a mentoring scheme, as well as offer training which equips your doctors with the tools to establish mentoring activity at a level that is achievable and sustainable.
RCP accreditations are available and can be included in programmes.
